Perhaps, while you are traveling inside Indonesia, you meet a guy pushing a cart full of bright green melon like tube (as the picture in this posting)and you are wondering what merchandise the guy sells, I can give you the answer.
He is a subsidized LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) retailer or seller.
I am not kidding. I am an Indonesian and , although I never used it, I know for sure about this.
This is one of the way Indonesian government to distribute subsidized gas to their people, especially, poor ones.
The melon like tube contains 3 kilogram of LPG. The price is lower than non subsidized one.
The guy on the pictures visits his customers who are usually street food kiosks, waroongs, or houses. A buyer should trade their empty tube with the new one + the money for the 3 kg Gas.
